Visit Bali Indonesia

Bali, Indonesia is an island located in Indonesia, Bali is one of very famous tourism objects in the world, yes Bali is very beautiful place, Bali is known as Island Of God, because of it's beautiful nature and people. Many tourism place in Bali but i will share some of my tour to Bali in 2003 when i go with my schoolmate.

We met at gathering point at our high school West Jakarta at 1 pm, and we go with all 3 buses, every buses is guided with our teacher, we are moving at 3. pm and first destination is Yogyakarta, central Java, because we take the bus, it will be long road from jakarta to Bali, it's about 2 days with 1 night staying in yogyakarta. but if you taking plane it only takes about 1 hour from Jakarta to Bali.

Long road is not big deal as we go with many friends around us, we sing, we play together in bus, and makes the journey even brighter. After taking 12 hours, we arrived in Yogyakarta, Central Java, center of historical and culture of indonesian, (you can see my other journey to Yogyakarta, Central Java later). but because we only have 1 night here, so we spend this night go to malioboro road, malioboro road , malioboro road is famous road, especially at night , where many of Yogyakarta artist are express their ability like playing music, painting, or carving some merchandise and souvenir.

I buy one of carving souvenir, it's like dogtag with our name carved on top of it, and some of my friends buying glass souvenir, they use heat and fire to shape some glass to make plate of our name, it's pretty souvenir though, im very sorry i cant upload of my own picture because all my picture already gone by flood in Jakarta in 2007, but i'll tag some picture related.

In morning, we continue our driving to Bali, after so many hours we arrive in Ketapang Port, place we have to across java island to bali island with ferry boat, we get in to ferry boat, meanwhile bus are getting into ferry boat too in lower deck. it takes about 1 hour to across from east java and bali island, and finally we arrive in Bali at 10.am, we are going head to Bedugul, mountain lake resort area in Bali, at about 48 kilometres north of city of Denpasar. In bedugul i rent a small boat similar a canoe, can take about 5 people including the driver, but all of us can help driver using bladed paddle, yeah we use this boat because it's more exotic experience than a boat with engine. Bedugul is very beautiful place, it;s a lake with scene of mountain in each side, and in the edge we can see some Pura or balinese temple.it's like driving in heaven i just said wow, this is very wonderful lake.

From Bedugul we are moving to Sanur Beach, a coastal stretch of beach of Denpasar city of southeast Bali, about 30 minutes drive from with beautiful white sandy beach with calm and warm seawater located in east part of Denpasar Town. we can see many souvenir seller too here.

At second day, we are driving to Nusa Dua Bali, which is a private area for foreign tourust only,so as local tourist we can only watch it from far away, woohoo so sad but our other plan is awaiting

We headed to Sangeh, monkey conservation area, is one of sacred area in Bali, one of rule is for woman if you are in your period, you cannot go in here, the same rule applied to other sacred places in Bali, so my advice is, if you're a woman and you're goint to visit Bali, better not go in your period time, so you can go anywhere freely. In Sangeh we can see and interact with wild monkey everywhere, we just walk into one jungle and lot of monkey in it, and you better not bringing anything precious like jewelry, because the money are so wild they can take it from you, and if this happened, we must call Monkey King inside the jungle to order the monley to give them back to you with some exhanging foods.

The monkey can jump to your shoulder, back, from one person to another person freely, and when they're on your shoulder, the freelance photographer are offering you to take picture with monkey, some of my friends did it, and one monkey just jump into my shoulder and im scared he2x, luckily he just jump again to another person he2x.

then at noon, we are arriving At Kuta Beach, one of most famous beach in Bali, many attraction are available here, like jet ski, boating, banana boat, parasailing, in Kuta beach we usually watching sunset, sun going down into the beach, this moments can take your breath away, it's very wonderful moment, very precious moments, i almost cry tears when i watch sunset in Kuta Bali.

At night we watch "Tari Kecak" one of Balinese Traditional Dance, sometimes it's called fire dance because using fire media, unique from this dance before doing the dance , the dancer are praying to theor Gods and they believe some of them are not in conscious or awake to do extreme things in that dance. They can dance on the fire, eating fire and so on, but this dance is attractive culture in Bali too.

Third day in Bali, driver bring us to Kintamani, sacred temporary sanctuary in Bali, where all magical stories are spread here, if someone died in Bali, but died with no wounds and already making a family,  they all not buried directly, but the deadbody put under the taru menyan tree, this tree is believed have fragrant scent and can make the body still fresh and prevent dead body from decaying.

And at noon we are going to Pura Besakih, Largest Temple in Bali, there are some tour guide to offering their service, we call one of them and he describe history of Pura Besakih.

Tanah Lot

Next day, we visit Tanah Lot, beautiful temple located in sea, some people said it's place to praise God Of Sea. Inside one temple, there's a snake, and one of guide next of it, guide said, if you have any wish you can pray and touch this snake, and may your wish can come true someday, some of my friends did, but me just watching this tradition. Outside this temple, there are small showering water, and according to local people faith, if you wish to come back to this place someday, then wash your face with this water. we just did it and wish can go back to Bali.

Sunday, March 30th 2014, me, my father, my brother and sister in law are planned to join yearly my father's work office recreation, and this year the destination is Taman Safari Indonesia (TSI), Cisarua Bogor. Taman Safari Indonesia (TSI) is conservation center or modern zoo place where we can enjoy safari experience , means we can watch all animals are not in caged, but free living in their natural place.

At 6.00 AM we have to arrive at meeting point at The Office , Bandengan, West Jakarta, and after that we have to wait until all participants are completely arrive. After 2 hours waiting, finally we can get in to the bus, total we are using 4 buses, our bus is no.4, and accompanied by cloudy weather and little rain we are moving to TSI, TSI located in Cisarua Bogor, estimated 2 hours driving from Jakarta if not traffic jam. AT 11.00 AM our bus has reaching TSI entrance gate, and as we know entering TSI means we have to using vehicle, such as cars, buses or other accomodation that are provided by TSI, because we have to entering safari area, which all animals, including the tame and wild animals are living free, so we have to be in caged in our vehicle then if so, he2x.But for certain, this is the most enjoying moments where we can watch them live and running free near us.the ticket price approx 150 ribu rupiah (about usd 15) per person as a group that allow us to enjoy almost all of their attraction and places.

Our first step is Elephant Area, where we can see some elephants are eating, walking, and this gonna be funny moment too, when some of the participants are yelling " look at elephants trunk, it's very big" and whole bus passenger are smiling. The second are is Hippopotamus area, we are amuse when we saw the hipo opened his mouth wider. Then deer, bear, are waiting to meet us, some cars are open their windows to feed them, though this is not suggested.

The next area are mountain goat, where we are amazed with how they can climbing so high to the high cliff there, After that here the moments, when we have to closed all doors and windows area, that means we are entering wild animals area, first we met Cheetah, that lying on the grass, and leopard are sleeping on the tree, yes they are nocturnal animals that means they are sleeping in daytime, while active in night, so if you wanna have more thriling moments you can have safari night at TSI every saturday night. Then we saw 3 male lions and 2 tiger, when we saw tiger, i can say in my heart wow, this is incredible creature that ever made, they are very handome, gallant, even they are not tame animals, but their existing in part of food chain in this world.

After wild animals, we are back watching tame animals and start to leaving safari area, and this is means we have to start our walking experience climbing road to enjoy more attractive places, even interactive moments with some animals.

We enter an area which is looks like large aquarium, they have about 4-6 large aquariums that consist of wild and rare animals such as Javan Leopard, Asiatic Golden Cat, Black Panther. Macan Tutul Jawa (Javan Leopard-Panthera Pardus Melas) are confined to the Indonesian island of Java, and its number is predict is less than 200 individuals now, One cage are attract us to watch, there are 2 animals, one is yellow leopard, other is black panther, and there's a pool inside and between them is not really have good interact, which yellow leopard is moving, black panther seems want to dominate, so the yellow leopard are jumping into the pool , wow we are all amazed how the leopard can be a good swimmer, he is approaching us and even respong our hands that touching the glasswall.

And near this area are baby zoo area, the place where we can take picture with some baby zoo, there are baby lions, baby tiger, baby leopard, and even there's adult male lion, and we can see some of courage people that have taken picture with them. In this are we can enter birds cage, birds are free flying here and there, and we can touch some of them too with zoo guide, there's pelican, beacutiful owl, peacock, and many more.and we can watch bat in their cave too.

It's almost 1.pm, and since we decided to watch Wild Wild West Show at 1.30 pm, so we must hurry to climb the road to the top of TSI area where the show are held.Wild wild west show that are trained by USA trainer are Amazing show for Indonesian people, because for so long time, we have watching on tv about american cowboy, but for now we can watch them live with sound system effect, real cowboys, real explosion, this is one of best selling show in TSI.

And after watching the show we are moving down to entering other places, we visit ghost houses, 8D simulator from korea, giant wheel. But time is already 4.30 pm that means we have to back to our bus immediately and back home, but this adventure to Taman Safari Indonesia really worth it, incredible experience, to get closer to animals and nature.
